Mr. Machlica is Managing Principal of Venue Strategies. In addition, he is also a Managing Partner at Manhattan Investment Partners, LLC, a private investment firm in New York. His corporate and project finance, strategic advisory, and investment experience totals transactions in excess of $5.0 billion across a variety of sectors, including: media and entertainment; real estate and sports facilities; energy and natural resources; manufacturing and industrial products; software applications; business services; and consumer goods.

Before joining MIP (and its predecessor First Manhattan Capital Partners), David was Managing Partner of Arena Ventures, LLC, an investment firm focused on the financing of arenas, stadiums, concert/entertainment events, and professional sports franchises. Prior, he was a Director in the Management Consulting Group at Laventhol and Horwath, where he led the firm’s New York-based real estate advisory services practice. Before joining L&H, David was Director of Planning and Development at The Dunn Corporation, a provider of science, technology, and engineering services to major construction, natural resources, and energy companies worldwide. Earlier in his career, Mr. Machlica was selected as a U.S. Congressional Fellow at the Commerce Department.
Mr. Machlica received his undergraduate degree from the University of Massachusetts, and his graduate degrees from the Pennsylvania State University and the University of London. He served as Vice Chairman and Director of Virdais, Inc., an on-demand voice, video, and data communications company, and as a Director of BroadSat Networks, Inc., a satellite-based broadband services provider. Currently, Mr. Machlica is a member of the Advisory Board for The Aurora Games International Women's Sports Festival, and he serves as a Director of Sports Media Investors, LLC, a private investment fund focused on broadcast-level sports and entertainment production opportunities.
